A visit at your own pace
Thanks to informative signs and an innovative app, you can also experience our stud without a guided tour!
For an independent visit to the stud, you can use the apps "Follow the herd" (iOS App-Store / Google Play Store) and "Follow Sigi" for children (Google Play Store) as well as the informative signs on site.
A self-guided tour is only possible with a valid day admission ticket within the current opening hours. During the self-guided tour, you can explore all accessible areas yourself, including the museum, the arcaded courtyard of Piber Castle, the interior of the stud farm with stables, the farrier´s forge, the carriage museum with historic carriages etc.
Your added value
A ticket for a self-guided tour includes so much more than just that! Your ticket gives you access to our daily programme at the Lipizzaner Stud:
- Show smithy: look over the farrier's shoulder at work (monday to friday and selected weekends, 1.30 to 2.30 pm)
- Admission to the carriage house: marvel at carriage models dating back to the Habsburg Monarchy
- Public riding training: watch our riders in training (tuesday to friday, 10.30 to 11.15 am)
- Admission to the museum with the exhibition "Follow the herd" (daily during opening hours)
- Foal experience (22th of April 2023): get to know the youngest Lipizzaners at the stud during a presentation.

Please note that tickets with discounts (NÖ-Card, STMK-Card, GenussCard, Zwei-und-mehr-Karte, ARBÖ and ÖAMTC membership card) cannot be booked via the Piber webshop. These tickets can be purchased directly on site in the ticket shop. No reservation is required in advance for a self-guided tour.
