Welcome to Piber, home of the world-famous Lipizzaner horses
The idyllic village of Piber lies nestled in the rolling hills of Western Styria. Lush meadows and green forests provide a wonderful backdrop for the home of Europe’s oldest cultural horse breed.
Since 1920, the Lipizzaner stud Piber has been breeding Lipizzaners here, which will be used for the High School of classical riding at the Spanish Riding School. The best horses of each generation make it to the Spanish Riding School in Vienna where - after many years of training - they will present their talents to horse lovers from all around the world.
